Liberate Counselling Collective (LCC) offers online counselling with an intersectional feminist, narrative and somatic approach. As an effort to make therapy accessible by way of affordability, LCC adopts a pay-what-you-can pricing scale from $80 to $140 + tax per session.

Our therapy work supports problem experiences such as grief, trauma, body image, anxiety, depression, relationships, self-esteem, and any other experiences that may have gotten in your way to feel liberated (narrative, somatic). While doing so, we acknowledge the social and cultural context in which we live, because we see you and your intersectional backgrounds and experiences (intersectional feminist).

Cat is a warm, compassionate human being and a skillful, attentive, and emotionally attuned therapist. She has many gifts as a therapist - unconditional respect, creativity, and an unwavering appreciation of all experiences.

Her counselling approach is an integrated one, adapted to meet your specific needs and situation. She draws from various counselling theories & techniques that include: Narrative & Intersectional-Feminist Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Anti-Oppressive & Trauma-Informed Practice, Internal Family Systems, Compassionate Mindfulness & Expressive Arts Therapy.

Regardless of the style, Cat always grounds her work in curiosity, collaboration and the creation of relational safety. She sees you as the expert of your own life, and her role as witness and guide in uncovering your own innate wisdom and healing capacities.

Cat loves working at Liberate and finds that her LCC clients often identify with some (or all) of the following:

  • Have struggles with anxiety and depression
  • Want to better understand their trauma & find new practices for working with symptoms
  • Feel stuck and want to find flow again
  • Identify as lgbtqia2s+
  • Are curious about the mind/body connection
  • Want to find ways to embrace and work with their sensitivity
  • Need help finding meaning, purpose or direction in life

  • Are creative souls (however that manifests itself)
  • Appreciate the role of humour in healing
  • Want to feel liberated from the pressures of cultural norms/expectations

Cat is proud to be a founding member of Liberate Counselling Collective and continues to feel inspired by the values that uphold the Collective, as well as deeply appreciative of the ongoing support and learning she receives from her fellow therapists.
